The company developed from the restructuring of Zhejiang Tangxi Gear Machine Tool Factory. Its historical products include the C618 lathe, M131W universal cylindrical grinder, T618 boring machine, T80 hydraulic boring machine, Y38-1 gear hobbing machine, Y31125E large gear hobbing machine, CY6149 lathe, and LG1643H export saddle lathe.

Spanning turning, grinding, boring, and gear machining, these products form the foundation of Tangchi’s accumulated machine-tool manufacturing experience.

In 2008, the company moved to a new site of approximately 50,000 m², planned around a professional machine-tool production system.

The base includes CNC gantry milling machines, CNC gear grinding machines, CNC gantry guideway grinders, vertical machining centers, a Swiss DIX750 coordinate boring machine, and other large process equipment for critical-component and complete-machine production.

The company’s integrated capabilities cover casting, precision mechanical processing, gear manufacturing, heat treatment, precision measurement, and complete-machine assembly.

Castings use medium-frequency induction melting and resin-sand molding, supported by gear processing, heat treatment, and precision inspection so critical mechanical components can be completed within a comparatively comprehensive manufacturing system.

The company operates a CNC machine-tool R&D center with a professional technical team and develops CNC equipment around practical customer machining requirements.

Its CNC lathes use patented automatic synchronized shifting at arbitrary speeds to support efficient automation for complex workpieces and combine turning and drilling operations.

The TCK series addresses general CNC turning. Large double-end CNC lathes process both ends of pipe and shaft parts, with original company information stating a 4–6× efficiency increase. The double-sided moving-column horizontal machining center performs independent drilling, tapping, boring, and milling on both sides of box-type parts.

Company products have received the “National User-Satisfied Product” designation from the National CNC Equipment User Committee of the China Association for Quality.
